Dance People by Ovations Global Network Inc. Launches Bold New Season of Impactful Dance Programming in 2025
Lake Worth Beach, FL – Dance People, a project powered by Ovations Global Network Inc. (501c3), announces a groundbreaking year of programs for 2025, continuing its mission to harness the culturally unifying power of dance as a catalyst for community, education, and social change.
Rooted in the belief that dance is a universal language, Dance People champions diversity, equity, and joy through a year-round slate of transformative initiatives that reach across generations and cultures. “We believe in the power of dance not just to entertain—but to connect, to heal, and to empower,” says Christopher Scott Caldwell, Founder of Dance People and Ovations Global Network Inc. “This year, we’re deepening that mission, expanding our reach, and amplifying the voices and stories that need to be seen, heard, and celebrated during these crazy, scary, and profound times”
🎉 What The Punk Fest
Florida’s first and only international gay urban dance festival returns bigger and bolder. What The Punk Fest (WTPUNK) is a radical celebration of LGBTQIA+ creativity rooted in ballroom, drag, hip-hop, and underground dance cultures. With workshops, parties, and performances in sunny South Florida, WTPUNK centers queer and BIPOC voices in dance—building safe, affirming spaces for all.
Dance & Drum Folklore Series
This free, community-driven seminar series brings master artists from Mali, Senegal, Haiti, Cuba, and beyond to share traditional dance, music, and storytelling. These cultural torchbearers also visit local schools, inspiring young people through rhythm, movement, and history. With your support, we preserve global traditions and pass them on—one drumbeat at a time.
💃🏾 Community Programs for All Ages
Dance People offers accessible classes and events for kids, teens, adults, and seniors, bringing people together across age, background, and experience. Whether it's through free workshops, cultural events, or school residencies, we aim to make dance a part of everyday life in every community.
🎓 Professional Development & Educator Training
We continue our commitment to developing strong, sustainable dance careers with offerings like the Simonson Method of Teacher Training, artist residencies, and culturally specific workshops. These programs provide underrepresented educators and artists with tools to teach with purpose and lead with integrity. “Professional development is how we pass the torch,” says board member Kanica Him. “When we train educators to teach inclusively and sustainably, we change what’s possible for entire communities.”
Why It Matters
Dance is more than performance—it’s a tool for social change, community resilience, and cultural preservation. Through every pirouette, pulse, and beat, Dance People builds spaces where everyone can move freely and be seen.
